A coalition of rabbis wants Fox News chief Roger Ailes and conservative host Glenn Beck to cut out all their talk about Nazis and the Holocaust, and it’s making its views known in an unusual place.
As a Jew old enough to remember the Nazi horror, being born at the beginning of WW2 and during a time when it was not uncommon to be referred to as “dirty Jew” by some other kids, I clearly pain over the Holocaust and the horrors of WW2. I have a big problem with the position of the rabbis, who are no better than Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton, who claims “ownership” for anything to do with Martin Luther King.
Certain events and statements over time do take on a colloquial meaning, as is the way with all languages. It is like fighting the tide at midnight with a spoon. It does not diminish the history of the Holocaust or the horror of Nazism any more than the current use “blood libel” diminishes the history of anti-Semitism. There are many of us who keep the history alive of our people and I have faith that our history will never be forgotten, nor will allow it to be. “Never again”! I believe is the saying we use?
The bottom line, is that Soros has written of how he relished working for the Nazis, as bathed in not only his ability to outsmart the Nazi scum, but in his new-found pimple faced teenage power, as he robbed his own people of their belongings. I also did not see any advertisements from these esteemed Rabbis when Soros referred to George Bush as a Nazi. Could it be this ad was not about the sacred use of “Jewish owned terminology” but more about a political agenda? If nothing else was served by this embarrassing political hatchet job, it has provided me with a list of Rabbi’s of whose temples I need not pray at.
